Centralised Operations as a Validation Strategy in SAFE4SOC
Discussions during the June 2024 consortium meetings clarified how SAFE4SOC would operationalise its validation strategy. Faced with diverse SOC environments and legal constraints, the project adopted a centralised operational model for demonstrations and testing.
This choice enabled repeatable validation of structured alert exchange, AI-assisted analysis, and gateway enforcement without requiring deep changes in each participating SOC. Importantly, the model was framed as a validation construct, not a prescription for future deployments.
By documenting this rationale early, SAFE4SOC ensured methodological clarity and avoided unrealistic expectations during later review phases.
Main note: SAFE4SOC used a centralised operational model to ensure realistic and repeatable validation.
